Morgan Cars Factory Tour

As a follow up to the choir’s participation in Morgan Cars’ Centenary Concert at Cheltenham Race Course in August, in September 25 members of the choir enjoyed a guided tour through the Morgan factory in Malvern Link. The archivist and museum curator Martyn Webb proved to be a true enthusiast for the cars and gave the choir a thoroughly enjoyable trip around the factory and told of the 100 years of the development of the cars. He said that despite the recession the demand for the car was still growing, particularly in America. The choir met many of the workers and were impressed with their enthusiasm and their willingness to talk about their jobs, some of which they had had for over 50 years. Following the tour the choir stopped at the local pub for lunch and serenaded the staff and customers.
